Advanced text formatting options

A few more advanced techniques for formatting text

Line spaces

By default, in most Run text editors, a single press of the Enter button will create a paragraph break, which involves two lines breaks. To create a single line break only, hold Shift while clicking Enter. The text editor toolbar also contains an icon to create a single break.

Lists and sub-lists

When creating bulleted lists, people sometimes want to create sub-lists within those lists. Control of this formatting can be confusing so here are some easy shortcuts:

  • Pressing Tab while your cursor is inside a bulleted item will turn that item into a sub-list item.

  • Pressing Shift-Tab while your cursor is inside a bulleted item on a sub-list, will return that item to the parent list.
