Step 1: Get your Action Network API key
In your Action Network account, select Details > API and Sync from the main navigation menu. Copy your API key from the column on the left.
Step 2: Paste your API key into Run
On the Run form builder, click to add destination, and then enter your API key. Confirm that it's connecting correctly under Status after you save.
Step 3: Select Action Network as the destination on ALL forms you plan to use
On the form builder, you must click on the Enable checkbox to the left of the destination for all forms you want to use this destination for on the site.
Tags
In order to add tags to your Action Network submissions, you need to start by creating tags on the Action Network side. In the Action Network account, click the main tab Details > Tags. Then, select those tags from the Segments column of this destination on the Run form builder.
Custom Fields and Questions
In order to add custom fields (or 'questions') to your form, open your form builder, click Add Form Field, and add a Custom Field (like 'Text' for example). Under the Action Network custom fields column, Run will pull down a list of your custom fields and questions from Action Network to select from. Alternatively, typing here will create a new custom field on the Action Network side when someone submits the form for the first time.
