The headshots blocks show rows of headshots, with the possibility of including titles, descriptions, social media links, and a button under each headshot. The buttons can be turned on per headshot, whereas the other items are either on all or none of the headshots (we force this for balance).
Where best to use Headshots:
For a list of endorsers that you have headshots for. Some people also put logos in the headshots images for organizational endorsements. The Logos block is usually better suited for that use case, but if you only had one organizational endorser for example, combining it with endorsements from people might look better.
For a list of staff members. If you wanted to include a bio, the Headshots with Bios block might work better, or you can link out the buttons on Headshots to individual bio pages you create.
If you have different categories of endorsers and enough endorsers to fill each category out, then using multiple headshots blocks consecutively (possibly with alternating background colors) may look good.
Design options
Headshots has "featured row" option you can enable that takes your first three endorsers and creates a visual separation with them.
You can also add a button to the bottom of the block which might be useful if you were showcasing just a few endorsers on the home page and wanted a link to see the rest.
You can control the number of headshots per row, 3, 4, or 5. If the "smart grid" layout is enabled our system will attempt to prevent "hanging" endorsers, for example by splitting the last two rows into three headshots each versus five and one.
