The Call to Action block is intended as splashy callout block for any number of "calls to action" like volunteering, signing up, donating, or anything else you can think of. It's often best used lower down on a page, perhaps as the final block in the page before the footer, to get a site visitor to take action after have perused your content.
The Call to Action block has the ability to include 0, 1, or 2 buttons, to turn on and off a description, and to include an image (or not).
It also includes "share buttons" which allow sharing a URL of your choice to various social media platforms. That would be useful if you wanted users to use the block to share out links to your site, or anything else.
Sometimes, you may want to stack more than one call to action block, and "flip" the layout, so that the image is on different sides on consecutive blocks.
