Full Width Media block

How and when to use the Full Width Media block

The Full Width Media block allows you to add an image or video that extends the full width of the page. We currently restrict the full width media image to a set aspect ratio so that it doesn't take up too much space on your page

Options

  • Image or video — the block always uses the same image whether you choose to use a video or not, and adding the video simply adds a play button on the image

  • Headline above the block, which can be hidden or shown on the sidebar

  • Caption below the block, which can be hidden or shown on the sidebar

Use Cases

  • Catchy, high resolution photos, for the bottom of a page or to break up a home page or about page.

  • We have other blocks for Video, including the Video block, that may work better here depending on your needs

Best Practices

  • Because it's so large, it's not recommended to put really critical content below this block
