Form troubleshooting FAQ

Some common issues that arise with forms

Updated over 2 weeks ago

When form submissions are not showing up on the destination side, check the status of your submissions.

You can check the status of form submissions by going to the Form Submissions page and scrolling all the way to the right where we show the status of submissions.

  • If a submission says Not Enabled, then the destination was not enabled for the form that submission came from. In the form builder we require that you actively enable every destination you want for every form on the site. In other words, if you want a destination to work on all your site forms, it must be enabled on each form, one by one. If you do not, when people fill out those forms they won't go through to the destination and will only be saved on the Run Form Submissions page. You can enable destinations by clicking the Enable checkbox to the left of them in the form builder for that specific form, saving the form, then republishing the site.

  • If a submission says Failed, the destination is enabled and some other error is occurring. This is often a result of a duplicate submission - if the record is already in the database, the destination will often throw an error. Some destinations will also block submissions that appear to be fake, such as using words like Test, using area codes that don't exist, etc. So if your submission fails, try again with less fake seeming data. If that doesn't resolve your issue, reach out to Run tech support.

  • If a submission says Succeeded, the submission went through correctly. In the vast majority of cases, if you're not seeing it, it's because you're not looking in the correct place on the destination side OR some destinations take a few minutes to update before showing submissions.
