iCal
iCal is an event/calendar protocol used by a variety of event services – and which integrates with Run. Google calendar is one of the services that provide events in an iCal format for Run to import.
To pull your iCal events into your Run events page, find your iCal url (instructions for Google below), then go to your Run events page sidebar, select Google Calendar / iCal from Event Integrations and paste in your URL.
Google Calendar
To get an iCal URL from Google Calendar, select the 3 dots next to the calendar you want to share and click "Settings and sharing"
From the settings page, select "Integrate calendar" on the left and copy the "Public address in iCal format"
Paste the full link into your events config
Details and Troubleshooting
Make events public
Google Calendar will only display events marked as "Public". You can change the default visibility of a calendar in the calendar's settings under "Access permissions for events"
Timezone settings
The timezone setting on your calendar will be translated to the user's local time. Be sure to set your calendar to the correct timezone for the website, this can be done in the calendar's settings
Refreshing your calendar
Run will automatically pull in your iCal event updates every 30 minutes. If you need a faster update, visit the Events page on your Run site, give it a few seconds to pull in the new events, and then Publish your site.
