Accessibility Widget / Plugin

Adding an accessibility plugin to your website

Updated over a week ago

Userway provides a free accessibility widget, that shows an icon on your page that allows users to make a variety of changes to the look for easier reading, such as increasing text size, increasing contrast, and more.

The free version is somewhat hidden on the Userway website, so you'll need to search for the correct links as you navigate their website.

Installation

On the Userway site, you'll want to change the position of the widget to bottom left or bottom right. Navigate to correct place at My Sites > [Your Site Name] > Customize > Button Location. Make sure to do this for BOTH the desktop and mobile options. If you don't change the default position, it may cover your menu items.

Once you get to the point of receiving the embed code from the Userway website, you'll go to the Run CMS and paste that into Site Settings > Custom Code & Scripts > "<head> section".

Upon publish, the widget will show up on your live site.
